COMPS RULES AND ENTRY CRITERIA

Alan Peters Cup
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Bogey competition played off the green tees in late summer.
Trophy: Alan Peters Cup
Collis Bowl
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Greensomes knockout played off the green tees between the beginning of October and the end of the following April. Each pair shall be made up of a higher handicap and a lower handicap player.
Trophy: Collis Bowl for the winners.
Franklin Cup Pairs
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, 5 Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Stableford better ball pairs competition played off the green tees in the summer. Each pair shall be made up of a higher handicap and a lower handicap player
Trophy: Franklin Cup
Gerry Wild Salver
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole singles Matchplay knockout played off the green tees in the summer.
Trophy: Gerry Wild Salver for the winner.
John Pitt Pairs
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, 5 Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole four ball better ball knockout played off the green tees in the summer. Each pair shall be made up of a higher handicap and a lower handicap player.
Trophy: John Pitt Trophy for the winning pair.
Landon Trophy
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, 5 Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole singles Matchplay knockout played off the green tees in the autumn and winter.
Trophy: Landon Trophy for the winner.
Michael Tierney Centenary Trophy
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, both men and women, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Medal played off the blue/green tees in June.
Trophy: Michael Tierney Centenary Trophy for the lowest net score.
Oakley Trophy Team Competition
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, 5 Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole team competition played off the green tees in the autumn in formats that vary from year to year, the formats to be decided by the Seniors Committee.
Trophy: Oakley Trophy for the winning team
Presidents Prize for Seniors
Open to: At the discretion of the President.
Conditions: At the discretion of the President.
Trophy: None.
Millennium Putter
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Stableford played off the orange/green tees in the autumn with 4 Clubs only (one club must be a putter).
Trophy: Millennium Putter Trophy for the highest stableford score.
Ron Stanbrook
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, Eligible Staff, at least 60 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole stableford played off green (home) or yellow (away) tees in September at different venues in the Reading and District Over 60’s Mens Golf League. The team comprises the current Captain plus eight qualified players. Qualification to play is determined by the total number of points gained in 3 out of 5 selected monthly Stableford competitions, normally for the months of April to August. To be eligible entrants must also have played at least two Reading League matches during the two-year period of the current season and immediate past season.
Trophy: Ron Stanbrook Trophy for the lowest net score of a Reading League player.
Seniors Club Championship
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Medal played off the blue/green tees in July.
Trophy: Trophy for the lowest gross score and trophy for lowest net score.
Seniors Interclub Fixtures
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, Eligible Staff, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole 4 Ball Better Ball played off green (home) or yellow (away) tees at different venues.
Trophy: None.
Seniors League Fixtures
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, 5-Day+, 5-Day, Eligible Staff, at least 55 years old, or at least 60 years old for the Reading and District Over 60’s Mens Golf League
Conditions: 18 Hole 4 Ball Better Ball played off the Green (home) or yellow (away) tees at different venues in the Reading and District Over 60’s Mens Golf League, M4 League.
Trophy: None.
Seniors Open (Not currently played)
Open to: Members of other Golf Clubs, Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Four Ball Better Ball Stableford played off the green tees. First to Fifth and Nearest the Pin. Super Seniors Prize for partnership with both players aged over 70. Maximum handicap index 18.
Trophy: None.
Seniors Stableford
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+, 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Stableford played off the green tees
Trophy: Parfitt Trophy for the the highest total number of points from best five rounds of the Monthly Stablefords (between March and October inclusive). John Cunningham Trophy for the highest number of points in qualifying for the Ron Stanbrook Trophy, to be eligible, the winner must be qualified to participate in the Ron Stanbrook Trophy in accordance with the league rules.
HP Soundy Cup
Open to: Corporate 7-Day, Corporate 5-Day, Full, Flexi, Eligible Staff, 5-Day+ & 5-Day, at least 55 years old.
Conditions: 18 Hole Stableford played off the green tees in early summer.
Trophy: HP Soundy Cup for the highest stableford points.
